Atkins Diet Review

Article by Celeb Diets

Not exactly the typical food can be found on the shopping lists of most Slimmers who grew up with the idea that a diet low in fat is the best way to lose weight. But like all things that seem too good to be true, there's a catch. And in the case of the Atkins diet, this means filling foods high in fat should be balanced, giving up most of the carbohydrates: bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, chocolate, chips, cookies, cake – even fruit, milk and some vegetables in the early stages.

However, in this review we found that the Atkin's diet has won the hearts – and taste – all in list stars like Jennifer Aniston and Renee Zellweger to business men, teachers and housewives. In fact, at its peak in late 2003, more than three million Britons are estimated to have tried the diet in an effort to shape and lose weight.

Despite this, Atkins diet caused the greatest weight loss debate this year, generating almost as many column inches as advocates of the regime claims to lose from their waistline. And even today, nutrition experts have not yet been conquered. Here's the lowdown…

Designed by the late Dr. Robert Atkins, which is high in protein, low carbohydrate diet. Dr. Atkins 'theory' is actually very simple: when you cut carbohydrates, your body is forced to burn its fat stores to provide energy as you burn more calories the body burns fat compared carbohydrate you will lose weight more quickly by reducing carbohydrates, sugar levels in the blood are more stable throughout the day and avoid overeating.

There are four phases of the Atkins diet and we will review them all. The first phase is called induction, which must be observed for at least two weeks, although this phase may continue for much longer if you can bear! During induction, you'd be hard to limit your intake of carbohydrates in a small 20g per day (most of us eat around 250g a day). And to avoid carbohydrate-rich treats like biscuits, cakes, chocolate, crisps, soft drinks, cakes and croissants, it also means ditching bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, milk, fruit and more vegetables in the menu. Instead, you can eat an unlimited amount of red meat, chicken, fish, cheese, eggs, mayonnaise, cream and butter. E 'during the induction phase, the body will burn carbohydrates for blood levels to burn fat and stabilize sugar.

The second phase, known as weight loss continues, we can add a little 'intake of carbohydrates – is 5 g per day for a week – until you find the critical level of carbohydrate diet. This is the maximum amount of carbohydrates you eat each day to lose 1 to 3 pounds per week. For some, this may be only 25 g carbohydrate, for others it may be a 50g. However, in this Atkins Diet review we found it is still considerably lower than most of us are accustomed to in reality and allows only the use of certain plants, fruits, nuts and seeds. cereals, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and breakfast are still a taboo!

It is time to enter the third phase, called pre-maintenance when you have just 5-10 lbs to lose. In this phase you increase your carbohydrate intake by 10g each day for one week at a time. The idea is to slow your weight loss of more than 1 pound per week in an attempt to prepare your body for the last phase, weight maintenance. Now you can begin to include small amounts of traditional starchy foods such as porridge, bread and pasta – and we're talking about small quantities! For example, only 40 grams of cooked brown rice or 30g cooked pasta each provide 10 grams of carbohydrates!

The fourth and final phase, lifetime maintenance, is to help maintain your weight. Although you may have a carbohydrate intake a bit more varied, most people need to limit carbs to less than 90 g per day – which is still only a third of what most of us eat every day. The result: you follow a low carb diet for life.

In this Atkins Diet review we found that there may be unpleasant side effects may occur with following the Atkins diet. To begin burning fat results in the production of substances called ketones in your body in a state called ketosis. This can result in the breath, fatigue, poor, weakness, dizziness, insomnia and nausea. Constipation can also occur as a result avoid typical high fiber foods like fruits, vegetables, beans, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, whole grain breakfast cereals and baked potatoes.

When it comes to long-term side effects, many health professionals are worried that the Atkins diet may have serious risks. Although high in fat, particularly saturated fats, may increase the risk of heart disease, there are also concerns that the unbalanced nature of the Atkins diet can cause nutritional deficiencies that cause health problems later in life. For example, poor recruitment of bone-building calcium (found in dairy products) may increase the risk of osteoporosis, while the low intake of antioxidant nutrients (found in fruits and vegetables) is linked to health problems ranging from heart disease and cancer to premature aging and cataracts. Some experts also worry that the intake of protein may cause kidney problems or weaken the bones.

Why are so many foods are taboo, the diet can be very boring, with the result that many people give up after a while '. It 'also almost impossible to follow the Atkin's plan if you are vegetarian, such as nuts, seeds, beans and many vegetables are banned initially. Many experts also believe the Atkins plan fails to teach people the basics of a balanced diet and healthy, the science is conclusive evidence to help us stay healthy and disease free as we have found in researching the Atkins Diet Review.

The main positive is that people can lose significant amounts of weight, actually quite quickly, it can be very motivating. The scheme also encourages people to cut the carbohydrates most processed and alcohol. Thank you, it gives a lot of red meat and high fat butter, cream, cheese and mayonnaise, diet is also the one that got people talking about the need to lose weight. In many cases, the discussion focused on action, with many men following the Atkins diet in an attempt to lose their beer bellies!
