Earlier today we heard about Julianne Moore's role in Joseph Gordon Levitt's directorial debut yet-to-be-named film. Now we get a sneak peek into Julianne's home in the West Village of New York City. I am a huge sucker when it comes to celebrity real estate, and when I came across these pics I just had to share. They come to us via Architectural Digest and are just lovely. Ah, to live like a celeb. Check out Julianne Moore's enviable NY townhouse complete with her own private lush garden retreat.

Yes, I know, I am a total home decor geek. When it comes to anything homey I am a complete walkover. I loved seeing this pics because well, one can only dream. The West Village is one of New York's most expensive areas for buying real estate, and so many of our fave celebs have made this little enclave in Manhattan their home. On any regular day you can bump into Sarah Jessica Parker or Matthew Broderick (and in fact, I saw him just yesterday strolling around the neighborhood), Liv Tyler, Susan Sarandon, and I have friends who have bumped into Cameron Diaz walking the tree-lined streets of the West Village. Jennifer Aniston has also owned a townhouse in the West Village, which she recently sold because she said it was like "living in a fishbowl". There are also tons of celebs who hang out in the WV who don't live there. Beyoncé and Jay-Z, for example, are often lunching or brunching in the WV.
Back to the homes. If I could do a tour of the inside of celeb pads before I die I would be one happy lady! Julianne's townhouse looks lovely, and actually quite down to earth and easy to live in. The garden seems like it would be the perfect escape from the chaos and news of Manhattan living. Do you like Julianne Moore's abode? Her townhouse is estimated to cost a humble oh, $12 million.
