Anyone who reads SkaDate Dating Software Online Dating Monthly Roundup knows that I cannot skip a good celebrity story. Well, working in the industry where celebrity endorsement is about the best thing that can happen to your business also helps.

That said, some of the biggest names in the showbiz are reluctant to openly admit their connection to online dating. This is really bizarre, considering we usually know every other detail of their everyday life.

Well, in today's slideshow I'm going to give you ten headline-makers, who not only embraced Internet romance, but also gave us much needed free publicity in the process, making online dating even more acceptable for average joes.

1.

Chace Crawford

Let's start with a bang. Crawford, the Gossip Girl star, doesn't look like a person in need of support for finding a suitable match. Indeed, he dated both Carrie Underwood and Bar Rafaeli, so you know he's got the moves. But at one point he was chosen by MTV as one of five hottest hearttrobs without a date for a Valentine Day. Maybe that's when Chace turned to online dating, and more specifically JDate.com, admitting that he has a bunch of different accounts, while not even being Jewish. See, that can work too.

2.

Joan Rivers

Now, Chace Crawford is only 26, so he is relatively inexperienced in the dating realm. Relatively to the 78-year-old Joan Rivers that is. Rivers joined Match.com in 2006, looking for smart, finny and elegant men, listing George Clooney as a preferred type. Although the focus seemed to be shifting somewhat, as it appears that now Rivers looks exclusively for younger, sexy men who enjoy pop culture. So you never know, we all might have a chance here.

3.

Tila Tequila

I know that we are stretching the definition of a star here, but Tila is definitely a celebrity and is no stranger to dating, after hosting MTV's 'A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila'. The reality star is said to be a member at the live webcam dating site WooMe.com, although it is rather puzzling how she manages to find time for online romance, what with her turbulent real love life.

4.

Jenny McCarthy

Interesting that we have another MTV alum on the list, who used to host another dating show. Is that a pattern or something? Anyway, who would have thought that a former Playmate of the Year needed a push to get back into the dating game. But that happened and McCarthy opted for the old and tried Match.com after her split from the sports agent Paul Krepelka. If anything this proves that online dating is a safe haven for everyone, celebrity status notwithstanding.

5.

Matthew Perry

Isn't Matthew Perry smart, funny and elegant? Maybe we should hook him up with Joan Rivers and see how that works out. Unfortunately, we'll never know what could have happened, as the former Friends star wanted something more exclusive that Match.com and signed up for Rich Soulmate instead.  And when the news spread, the site received so many hits, it crashed. So there's one drawback of having a celebrity on the site...

6.

Jennifer Aniston

Speaking of Friends. Aniston, just like her character Rachel, seems to have trouble when it comes to sticking with Mr. Right. Although all the publicity forced her to say she'll never trust the online dating world again, the rumors are still going strong that Aniston paid a cool million to online matchmaker Kelleher International to help her find the perfect man. So far, though, this only translates to her on-screen partners, including Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Clive Owen, kevin Costner, or Owen Wilson. Oh, and Vince Vaughn.

7.

Halle Berry

Unlike Ansiton, whose career continues to skyrocket, Berry seems to completely fall off the face of the earth after getting the Oscar. Or the part in Catwoman. Ouch. But who cares? It's Halle Berry for Christ's sake. The actress admitted to visiting a couple of dating sites, so just imagine how many strokes she's responsible for, after exchanging pictures with potential matches.

8.

Orlando Bloom

It is hard to follow up someone like Hally Berry and Legolas was the best I could come up with. Funny thing, Bloom faked his profile on Facebook to get girls. Only he used his friend's photo so that they wouldn't know who he really was. Now that's impressive! So, next time you are on the dating site and someone is chatting you up, it just might be Orlando Bloom. Or Joan Rivers. Remember, you never know...

9.

Lindsay Lohan

Now, the fact that we have Lindsey Lohan here is not that surprising. After all the negative publicity she so laboriously generated over the past few years it must be hard to find a match indeed. Online dating just could be the last resort.  So the Funny or Die eHarmony Profile might be fake, but somehow it seems online dating isn't such a far-fetched idea in this particular case.

10.

Charlie Sheen

Look, Charlie Sheen is no longer a celebrity. It's a separate entity, traveling through its own space and time, and we just happen to be lucky to catch a glimpse of this magnificent journey. And a part of that journey included shining some brilliance at Millionairematch.com. Just imagine what kind of crazy stuff Charlie could say to a potential partner. Or don't, if you you don't like the idea of you brain melted.
