Another story that is just completely beyond sad has emerged as a distraught mother of two seems to have killed both of her teenage children and then turned the gun used for the crime on herself.
After emailing her ex husband saying that she was going to do harm and that it was the best thing for the family she then text her cousin and said she was going to commit the crime. Her ex husband rushed to the scene.
His arrival on the scene was too late and all three were dead. His 15 year old daughter and 16 year old son apparently killed by their mother who then took her own life.
Recent arguments over money, an ongoing house foreclosure, long work hours and building pressure may have been factors that eventually unhinged Jennifer Berman and led her to do the unthinkable.
As always with these stories a lot of people are probably wondering what could have been done to prevent this sad sad incident.
The struggles faced by many family in the midst of divorce and with money issues cause stress and potential incidents every day. Obviously this was highly unusual but it’s a sobering thing for all of us who have ever been involved in family struggles.
